The product Picklex® 20 One Step Metal Prep. is an environmentally safe, non-hazardous, water based & ready to use product (Green Product). Tested/Verified by US EPA. What is your primary product or service?
Picklex(r) 20 and Picklex(r) metal surface preparation, pre-treatment & Conversion coating. A Value added US EPA tested/verified, Award winning water based ready to use Green Product, which performs multiple jobs, such as removing surface rust, very long term indoor rust protection, pretreatment/conversion coating, Sealer, all in one step. Also, Descaling, passivating of stainless steel in one step process with zero waste disposal. Works on any Ferrous and Non-ferrous metal surface. Picklex(r) 20 is the only conversion coating in the market which can be used at room temperature by manual spraying or brushing process without rinsing, providing excellent bonding and corrosion resistance (longer paint life). Welding (increases weld strength considerably on steel & anit-spatter), liquid painting, powder coating etc. can be performed over the coating. No quality failure since 1998. How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Tried to solve the corrosion (Rusting problems) with metal surfaces, which is the main cause for most of the quality failures in the manufacturing, industrial construction, re-finishing and other areas dealing with metals which ends up in Re-work, resulting in a lot of extra labor, time & cost. My background is Mechanical Engineer and Scientist, developed Picklex(r) & Picklex(r) 20 product and processes, winner of National Award, USA 2001 and Edison Award (Global award) 2013, owner/CEO of international Chemical Products, INC.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The technology and the products have no competition at all in the market. I solve metal surface preparation problems for different industries. I have eliminated more than a Million gallons of hazardous & toxic waste disposals already. Also, I have reduced more than 50% - 80% of labor, time & cost from the companies. I am not only solving the quality problems for the companies, but also by eliminating the hazardous & toxic chemicals including media blasting of metal surface, I am eliminating a lot to the environmental pollutions from the metal surface preparation industries.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Presently one location in Huntsville, AL. My expand to other location later.
